  • Financial services operation benefits from CODA’s best-in-class financials
  • UNIT4 Business Software Ltd helps Bradford & Bingley deliver first class service to customers as it manages down its existing mortgage book

Bradford & Bingley Plc has undergone significant organisational change in recent years. Its retail branch network was acquired by Santander and the rest of the business, including the mortgage operation and headquarters, was taken into public ownership by the UK Government in 2008. As a result of the changing trading environment it finds itself in, Bradford & Bingley has decided to move to a more cost effective operating platform for its accounting systems and has selected CODA Financials from UNIT4 Business Software Ltd to help address those changes and ensure that service standards are maintained while it manages down its mortgage book.

Following an in-depth evaluation of several of the market’s leading ERP and financial software providers Bradford & Bingley selected CODA Financials. Tyrone Griffiths, Project Manager for Bradford & Bingley, commented: “These are challenging times for the financial services industry and we needed a best-in-class financial management solution that had a proven track record in our sector, on our chosen platform and was quick and easy to implement.   Cost effectiveness was a key driver in our selection as we wanted to move our accounting applications from our previous mainframe environment onto a much more cost effective platform that could seamlessly integrate with our other line-of-business applications. That said we would not compromise on the quality and depth of information our chosen solution could generate about our business for our stakeholders.  In selecting CODA Financials we found our solution.”

Anwen Robinson, UK Managing Director for UNIT4, concluded: “This win is significant for us as it demonstrates that our solutions really are helping organisations cope with the changes resulting from the downturn. The proven ease of integration, configurability, agility, low cost of change and low ongoing maintenance and support costs associated with CODA Financials have once again helped us to become the solution of choice in this ever more competitive business landscape.”
