AUKUG – Why should my organisation join?
As Chairman of the AUKUG, the first two questions I am usually asked by non-members are:"What is the point of joining the User Group?" and "What would my organisation gain from being a member?"
These are two very easy questions to answer. The flippant response is: "Can you afford not to be a member?"
Being a member entitles you to the following benefits:
- Two free places at each of the five members-only workshops run during the year.
- Access to the Business World User Group Forum question and answer database containing queries raised by users and answered by other users and Unit4. There are around a thousand topic threads each year, resolving many users’ problems successfully.
- Encourage users to use the Unit4 New Ideas enhancement logging site.
- Two newsletters per year giving details of events and other relevant Business World User Group news.
- Access to senior Unit4 staff via the council members, to raise any significant issues that are affecting users.
- The ability to network with colleagues in similar organisations, to learn from each other ways to enhance our systems for the future.
Having spent some very significant sums on installing Business World, I believe it is wise to invest an additional £500.00 + VAT to join up with like-minded members, to keep abreast of product developments and to share best practice to overcome issues, features and problems in as effective a way as possible.
To join now, please contact Caroline Batten (email email@example.com or phone 01275 377 340).
I look forward with meeting you at an event very soon.
Why you should be a member of the Financials and Dream UG?
An introduction by our User Group Chairman, Tony Murphy, Head of Financial Accounting and Treasury, Visit Britain.
If you are not aware of the Financials and Dream User Group and the benefits of being a member, please allow me to highlight all of the advantages, and encourage you to join us.
Every year the User Group and its highly experienced Financials and Dream Consultants work together to provide our members of each platform at least six workshops and webinars covering a wide variety of topics relevant to the Unit4 products that you use on a day to day basis.
As a member you will have access to senior Unit4 staff via the 8 strong Committee Members (if you wished to join the Committee and attend 4 meetings per year, you are most welcome, and this would allow you free access to membership during that time), and also to like-minded individuals who attend the workshops and the chance to network and “brain storm” any ideas or solutions that you may have.
Costs to join the User Group are small. Membership allows up to five members of the same organisation (names can vary at each workshop) to attend any or all of the workshops during that membership year. The cost of this is £300 which covers everything – there are no hidden costs involved. If just one non-member wished to attend one workshop this would cost £150, so the savings are tremendous.
Presentations and slides from the workshop are available for members after the workshops and these are a great reference tool to go back to, time and again and can be shared amongst your organisation.
The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Organisations can join at any time during the year but if membership fees are received before the end of February we offer a 20% discount, which is another great saving.
If you have recently signed a new contract with Unit4, you may be eligible for free membership to the UG for one year. Our User Group Administrator, Sue Thompson is available to answer any of your queries on any matter regarding membership, so feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively call on 07787882980.

UK User Groups
The Agresso UK User Group (AUKUG) and the Coda & Dream UK User Group are independent organisations supporting the development of Unit4 products. The User Groups provide opportunities for Unit4 software users to share experiences and ideas to improve their understanding and use of the Unit4 solutions. The groups organise workshops, meetings and social events around shared interests.
