UNIT4 Coda offers Denplan a platform for growth, improved financial analysis and operational efficiencies

Bristol, UK and Sliedrecht, Netherlands, 7th May 2014: UNIT4, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced that Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist, has selected its Coda suite of financial management solutions.

Founded in 1986, Denplan was created to assist both patients and practice team members with private dental care, offering a range of dental payment plans to suit every oral health need and budget. Today it has over 6,500 member dentists and around 1.7 million patients across the United Kingdom, as well as serving over 1,900 companies with employee benefit schemes.

In such a fast paced and growing environment, Denplan is investing in new business and IT solutions to safeguard the future of its business and provide a secure and stable platform for the long term. A new finance system is an essential part of this investment; to support better analysis and reporting capability as well as improving efficiency in dealing with increasingly large volumes of transactional data.

“We went to market to acquire a leading best in class finance solution, although we also reviewed leading ERP solutions and an incumbent within our Group,” said Adam Munt, Programme Manager at Denplan. “UNIT4 Coda was the clear winner. It has an excellent and proven track record in the market; it meets our specific system requirements closely and is capable of handling the significant volumes of data we generate. In addition, on meeting the team from UNIT4 we felt there was a cultural fit between our two organizations and a shared vision for the future.”

Denplan will implement Coda as part of a larger programme starting with Coda Financials and implementing Assets and Procurement in a later phase. “We anticipate that Coda will provide us with opportunities for process efficiencies that will be scalable, allow better analysis and generate comprehensive management information. In addition, we are confident that Coda will integrate into existing and new systems very effectively, which will enable us to reduce data volumes across the business and as a result improve accuracy. In choosing Coda we gain access to a robust platform with a strong development roadmap into the future. So far we are very pleased with our choice and we look forward to working with UNIT4 during the delivery of our project, to implementing Coda and to seeing the benefits it will offer our people and our business going forward,” said Adam.
