Utrecht, Netherlands and Bristol, UK, 12 November, 2014, UNIT4, the global leader in software solutions that enable business change, today announced the expansion of its global partner ecosystem, which is a key element of its corporate growth strategy. From 1st January 2015 two of its UK & Ireland executive management team will be promoted to new roles within the organization.
Anwen Robinson, currently Managing Director of UNIT4 UK and Ireland, will take on a global role as Senior Director and lead the newly created Global Partner Organization. In addition Helen Sutton, currently running Sales and Marketing for UNIT4 UK and Ireland, will succeed Anwen as Managing Director for UK and Ireland.
Anwen and her team will work closely with UNIT4 subsidiaries globally to build a network of regional partner management teams. These teams will grow the ecosystem around UNIT4’s products and work closely with partners to deliver an enhanced and extended portfolio of UNIT4 solutions and services to customers across different regions and verticals.
Anwen joined UNIT4 in 1999 and successfully transformed the UK and Irish operations to be among the top IT suppliers for the private and public sector and one of the most successful and fastest growing organizations within UNIT4. Key to this success was the introduction of new sales channels and most notably strategic partnerships. And it is this aptitude for partner engagement and relationship building that is vital to UNIT4’s growth strategy on a global level.
Paul Vogel, Executive Vice President, Global Sales at UNIT4 said: “Anwen’s appointment to this role will help us to execute on our strategy and significantly increase the footprint of our global partner ecosystem. Of course finding her successor in the UK and Ireland was also critical for us. With over 1,200 customers and a healthy and growing sales pipeline, our UK and Ireland business is well placed as a key territory for further investment and growth. In Helen Sutton we will have a new MD with the skills, experience and approach essential for us to achieve our ambitions in the UK and Ireland going forward.”
Helen is a very experienced senior executive in the enterprise software market. She held a number of senior pre-sales and sales management roles with Baan and i2Technologies and SAP before joining UNIT4 in early 2014. During her 12 year tenure at SAP, Helen held a number of Global Account Director roles before becoming Head of SAP’s UK and Ireland strategic customers in 2012; representing approximately a third of the UKI business. She also set up a business focussed on a new mobile platform and was a member of the SAP UK and Ireland Extended Leadership Team, reporting into its EMEA Regional Board.
Prior to taking up their new roles in January, Anwen and Helen will continue to work together closely to ensure a smooth transition and continuity when it comes to servicing UNIT4 customers across all areas of UK and Irish operations.
Paul Vogel commented: “These are exciting times for our business and our people and we congratulate Anwen and Helen, thank them for their on-going contribution to the business and look forward to working with them to drive the success of UNIT4 around the world.”
