  • Supports Logical Framework Approach to defining and managing international development programs
  • Improved transparency for social impact reporting to donors
  • Solution developed in collaboration with a number of large international NGO organizations

Unit4, world leader in enterprise systems for Not-for-Profit organizations, announces a new partnership with Swedish organization, Precio Fishbone, to deliver a complete strategic program management solution to Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) worldwide.

Designed to integrate with Unit4 Business World ERP, Precio Fishbone’s solution, NGO Online is a cloud-based program management solution specifically built for international humanitarian and development NGOs. Developed in close collaboration with a number of large global NGOs, it supports the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) to evaluating international development projects with functions that are relevant, tried and tested.

Program Managers and Project Accountants will benefit from rapid value in their strategic processes including:

  • A single solution for program management and financial program budgeting.
  • A standardized approach to program management based on best practices, with built in processes for grant registration and sub awarding.
  • Ability to report according to International Aid Transparency Index (IATI) standards.
  • Effective cost management and forecasting as well as risk management and decision logs.

"We have combined NGO Online together with Unit4's Business World ERP Suite by complementing the Project and Information Management System with financial data for our projects in order to make financial data easily available in the daily work of all employees", said Emilia Kongbäck, Project Manager at Norwegian Red Cross, International Department. “The solution offers a suite of functionality to support our project and grant management needs. We very much look forward to closer links between Unit4's ERP solutions and NGO Online, and expect it will provide even smoother integrations and visualization of standardized financial information for both internal use and for reporting to donors."

“Unit4’s market leading project accounting and financial accounting solution for Not for Profit organizations, combined with the NGO Online capabilities in program management create a compelling proposition,” said Björn Bemgård, Precio Fishbone. “We are supporting NGOs with clear, concise and systematic information about their projects, connecting the various components of a project such as goal, objectives, activities, results and indicators in one system or framework.

“We want to help our customers deliver value in their strategic processes, supporting people to be effective in their work"

Henk Jan Onstwedder, Global Head of Not-for-Profit at Unit4

“We bring sector expertise to the underlying IT architecture that ensures effective and responsible program management,” said Henk Jan Onstwedder, Global Head of Not-for-Profit at Unit4. “We want to help our customers deliver value in their strategic processes, supporting people to be effective in their work, particularly important in a sector where every resource is critical and must be accounted for.”

Clients already benefiting from the combined solution include the Norwegian Red Cross, British Red Cross, SIDA and ACF France. Precio Fishbone has been working with international humanitarian and development NGOs to develop customized solutions since 2003.
