EcoVadis silver medal

Unit4 has been awarded EcoVadis silver medal in recognition of sustainability achievement!

from  November 18, 2022 | 3 min read

Since we started our sustainability journey in 2020, we are continuously working to improve our social and environmental performance. This year we are proud to have been awarded our Silver Ecovadis certification, The World's Most Trusted Business Sustainability Ratings, up from Bronze certification last year.

Everyday people across Unit4 bring our sustainability approach to life, which focuses on health and well-being, creating an inclusive and equitable world, and environmental sustainability – and is aligned to the world’s best plan for a better future: UN Sustainable development goals. In addition, we have renewed our commitment as participant to the UN Global Compact in 2022.

We continue to build on our previous successes and new initiatives from this year include:

  • Act4Good Anniversary Experience – 70 of our people took part in a weeklong volunteering program. From environmental conservation in the Andorra mountains to refugee support in Lisbon, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about and act climate change and social justice.
  • Company well-being days – one of our priorities has been to focus on the well-being of our people. This year we introduced companywide well-being days for our people, when all of Unit4 takes time away from work to support work-life balance. With the whole organization taking some well-deserved time out on the same day, our people can properly disconnect and do whatever they need to prioritize their well-being and return to work feeling energized, more engaged and empowered!
  • Start of our carbon reduction journey – for the first time we actively measure and report our GHG (Greenhouse gas) emissions for all of Unit4 operations globally. This enables us to start working on our path to decarbonization, with initiatives such as an e-waste recycling scheme, and our commitment to halve business travel compared to pre-pandemic times. All our main providers for our data centres, which are essential for our business and products, are committed to carbon neutrality and renewable energy.

As the world follows closely the latest developments of climate action at the COP27 event in Egypt, Unit4 will continue to do its part. We won’t slow down our efforts to create an inclusive and sustainable world and look forward to the many opportunities it brings.
