Unit4 Connect Conference 2018

Posted by  Derren Nisbet

Our annual conference, Unit4 Connect, was created to help our customers and partners learn more about our organisation, our software and our pledge to facilitate the journey into digital transformation. On Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th October 2018, at the Harrogate Convention Centre, Unit4 will launch this year’s conference: Creating Space.

Taking business to the next level

This year, we want to inspire attendees to unlock their potential, and help them create space to do more of the work that really matters. Aside from businesses looking to deliver their products and services, they are looking to deliver results. Everything as a Service harnesses the fast-paced changes we are seeing in business and technology, neither of which are showing any signs of slowing down, using them as a differentiator in the market.

Having access to the technology is step one, but the true value comes from it’s application, and it’s usage, and leveraging it to support your organisation’s most valuable asset; its people.

Creating space

Every industry must now work to streamline their operations. From selling skills by the hour to delivering project results; from managing student records to driving student success; from city administration to citizen experience; and measuring and improving your program impact to save more lives - digital transformation, Unit4’s technology, means more time to spend on high-value tasks to take business to the next level.

What to expect this year at Unit4 Connect

After a welcome note from me, Derren Nisbet, Regional President in the UK and Ireland, day one begins with an opening session from Stephan Sieber, Unit4’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Stephan will be discussing how to make outcomes, success, and value a reality in a XaaS world. After a short break, attendees return to enjoy Claus Jepsen’s discussion about the future of innovation, and staying ahead of competition. Throughout the morning, attendees will have the opportunity to speak to our carefully selected Partners in the exhibition area.

After lunch, the conference will branch into three verticals: Education, Public Sector & Not For Profit, and Commercial. Craig Bass will also be delivering an update on the value of framework for the Unit4 Financials and Dream sectors, looking at the complete offering and business results Unit4 is driving, as well as how they are being underpinned.

The evening’s reception will take place at Harrogate’s brand-new venue, The Potting Shed. Situated in the landmark Royal Baths complex, this down-to-earth garden-themed venue will provide the perfect backdrop for a smart/casual drinks reception, followed by sumptuous food, drinks, and entertainment.

Day two will allow attendees to dive further into the Education, Public Sector & NFP, and Commercial verticals with a look at the state of the industry as well as Unit4’s latest solution offering. The theme of creating space through digital transformation will run through these sessions, and how the cloud has enabled innovation for each industry.

Day two will conclude with industry forum discussions, partner presentations, and the impact automation is having and will have on business in the future, followed by the closing guest speaker.
