Shelter moves to Cloud ERP from Unit4

Utrecht, Netherlands & Bristol, UK,

  • Unit4 Business World On! streamlines finance and business processes
  • Moving to the cloud frees resource to focus on core mission

Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, today announced that housing and homelessness charity Shelter has selected its Business World On!, ERP solution to improve, streamline and automate its business and finance processes. The organization has also chosen Embridge, a Unit4 partner, to work alongside its teams on the implementation.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through its expert advice, support and legal services. The organization recognized that its previous legacy solution was not able to keep pace with the demand for enterprise wide business and financial information. Its teams were too reliant on manual and time consuming processes to generate the data required for analysis and decision making.

Stuart McSkimming, CIO for Shelter, said: “Technology plays a vital role in helping us achieve our objectives. In selecting Unit4 Business World On!”, we have found a solution that offers us the breadth of financial and operational functionality we need. It will enable us to deliver operational transparency to our supporters, streamline and automate our processes, and access an accurate view of our current financial information at any time, from anywhere. In addition, we have access to an easy to use system for both finance and non-finance users to help us make informed decisions about our organization and the work that we do.”

Shelter is familiar with the benefits of cloud deployment so it was an easy decision for the team to implement Business World On! in the cloud.  The new system will also remove the administrative burden and the need for complex software upgrades, as well as providing cost efficiency.
