We’re All In at IASA 2015

This will be our seventh year attending IASA’s (Insurance Accounting & Systems Association) Annual Conference and Business Show. It’s right around the corner, beginning Monday June 7th in Las Vegas and we’ll be showcasing our finance system that is built ideally for insurance companies at booth 740.
The IASA conference is the place where industry professionals and solution providers meet to learn, share innovative ideas, and network. This year they are offering over 90 technical sessions that cover a wide-range of financial, technology, operations and career skills topics, three super sessions featuring a blend of professional speakers, leading insurance company executives and industry experts who will provide valuable insight on ideas and issues impacting the industry. If that wasn’t enough, they have impressive keynote speakers to support their “Go All In” theme including Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the 66th Secretary of State of the US Condoleezza Rice, and Juliet Funt of WhiteSpace.
The annual conference IASA has Vendor Connect Tours which allow attendees to select from 14 categories of interest. Unit4 will be participating Monday, June 8th in Financial Software and Systems category at 9:50am - 10:50am and SaaS Cloud and Insurance Operations category at 11:00am - 12:00pm. Attendees will follow an IASA volunteer who takes them around the exhibitor floor to each vendor’s booth to listen to their five minute pitches on their solution and how it can help the current needs of the insurance industry. This is another example of how IASA makes an effort to connect attendees with solution providers in a way that is beneficial for both.
Another offering at the conference for vendors and those new to the insurance industry is "Spin to Win", a fun way for attendees to gain insight into how insurance companies function. The game plays to real-world insurance situations and combines an interactive insurance company simulation with training to illustrate how business and technology decisions impact overall business performance. Again, another opportunity IASA provides to better connect vendors to insurers by providing them with a greater understanding of the situations insurers face and how they can help.
In my opinion, IASA gives their all to insurers and the vendors who provide solutions to insurers. That’s a win-win for both parties and that is why we are pleased to be a member and participate in their annual conference.
