How Unit4 ERP users can be more productive and efficient in their daily processes

With an easy-to-use interface, GCON4 MFL enables you to bulk import, update and validate master files and transactional data, including all associated flexi-fields, relations, and document archives, easily and rapidly in a single step. Using its own web services for the uploading of data, excel templates are automatically generated based on your current ERP configurations.
It makes sure all import data is thoroughly validated and highlighted with details of any errors found before the upload. It also enables users to bulk update existing Unit4 ERP data or add new ones easily without having to change records individually.

Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. They are also the world’s largest independent funder of cancer research, investing over $400 million each year in 39 countries across prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The charity receives no government funding, so relies on donations to fund its life-saving work.
As with most global charities, it operates as a business, and its success depends on the smooth running of its back-office systems. They need to ensure costs are kept to a minimum and efficiency is high so that donations can be spent on achieving their mission of finding a cure for all cancers.
Cancer Research UK has been a user of Unit4 ERP for over ten years, but they were finding that the unsupported version they were working on, and the traditional methods of table writes for data loads that they were using were throwing up issues with indexing which became labor intensive and time consuming.
The solution came with GCON4 MFL, which revolutionized their data loading process, and simplified their complex data loads, speeding the whole process up from what could take days or months to be done in just hours.

The Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. It aims to protect and restore as much ancient woodland as possible across the UK and to create new native woodland. The Trust owns over 1200 sites and has an ambitious strategy to fight for no more loss of ancient woodland and to plant over 64 million trees in the next ten years.
The Trust had been working with multiple systems feeding data and transactions into Unit4 ERP, or systems that provided data for manual input into Unit4 ERP. Different processes had developed over time for each interaction, either electronic or manual, but the Unit4 ERP Systems Team at the Trust saw a way to unify these interactions using the GCON4 MFL solution and automating more processes in order to save their people time.
GCON4 MFL will now allow transactions from external systems to get into Unit4 ERP, transforming the Trusts’ multi-system interactions, reducing errors, and streamlining processes. Having a consistent method of automatically importing their data means maintenance is simplified for all these imports. Changes or improvements can now be applied much more easily across all import processes.

Places for People is one of the largest property and leisure management, development, and regeneration companies in the UK. It owns or manages over 140,000 homes and has assets in excess of £3 billion. Customers are at the heart of everything they do. They have been building homes since 1965, and today they create award-winning developments that are more than just homes. They take a placemaking approach, strengthening the connection between people and the places they share through a collaborative process that maximizes shared value.
The standard loads they were working with were time consuming and required multiple templates and testing, which meant retesting and remapping due to additional fields being added, which led to errors, duplications, and risk to data integrity.
The business needed a solution. They were looking to cut data migration time and reduce the risk of data integrity compromise. The introduction of GCON4 streamlined their data migration and greatly reduced migration time. Places for People can now create template data loads quickly and easily and can validate the data and provide clear and concise error messages. There is now the ability to do a single upload which would have required multiple server processes negating the risk of direct table writes ad SQL scripts.
