Chief Executive Officer

I’m a CEO, Investor, builder of world-class teams, champion of diversity and continuous learner, and I’m passionate about people. From my first leadership role in the Boy Scouts, to exec positions in the tech industry, my career has revolved around elevating, engaging and enabling people. I joined Unit4 to get the market as excited in our unique approach to enterprise tech as I am. We’re building systems that change how people experience work, and the impact will be huge.

Outside of work I’m a family man, a Liverpool supporter, and a proud South African.

The customer journey and experience is a critical component of a brand’s development and successful growth. I am a passionate believer in the power of combining well-motivated teams with agile methods to drive rapid and ongoing value for our customers and the stakeholders that they represent. Being a part of their journey and success is fundamental to our future growth and success. To that end, I am focused on building holistic, integrated, expert and agile teams to enable amazing customer journeys.

When not engaged with our customers and teams, I am a keen surfer, mountain-biker and rugby fan.

My passion is to use technology towards building products that help companies run their businesses better. For decades, enterprise customers have been asking for flexible light-touch systems designed for their specific needs, that allow them to move fast, be resilient, and adaptable. Throughout my career at Google, SAP SuccessFactors, Yahoo!, and QuickBooks, I’ve focused on building such applications. New-wave technologies – cloud, machine learning, micro-services, APIs – mean we have an opportunity to advance this goal in a major way.

Originally a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, I now have my home in the San Francisco Bay Area with my wife, two boys and three dogs.

Chief Technology Officer

I’ve been fascinated by technology since age 14: from my first Tandy TRS Model 1, through to developing cloud-based, super-scalable solutions and bringing innovative technologies such as AI, chatbots, and predictive analytics to ERP. We really can now have better, non-invasive and pervasive solutions — to improve People Experience and help us focus on what we truly love.

My spare time is spent with family and friends. I can often be found road biking to stay in shape, and I love experiencing different cultures through traveling.

Through my career, I’ve learned the importance of honesty, hard work and having fun. Also, the importance of being nice to people. I’ve worked with some amazing people who have coached me and been honest about my faults, one being that I work too much. Everyone gets 24 hours in a day, so use them wisely. Today my obsession is how we make our customers and their customers as successful as possible.

Cooking is my passion and I love to learn new things to prepare and serve to friends and family!

Most of my career has focused on people and the technology that drives people performance and development.

Our customers understand that the way people experience enterprise technology is critical, as they fight to retain the best talent. I’m a people person and a true believer in the power of diversity.

For me, the most important asset of a company is its people, and I am passionate about nurturing and developing talent – not just in my teams but across the whole company. I enjoy building high-performing finance teams that are true business partners to the company’s senior leaders and are critical to efficiently scaling high-growth technology companies.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family, travelling, enjoying good food, and I’m also a keen golfer.

Chief People Officer

I believe the key to business success is a shared cause and purpose, genuine leaders and world class people. Throughout my career I’ve had the great fortune to be part of businesses where I’ve been able to help shape each of these elements. I’m passionate about helping people achieve a shared sense of success in their own development and business performance whilst driving engagement and loyalty through fully aligned business and people strategies.

When not working, my husband and I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends at the beautiful south west coast of the UK. We love to travel enjoying sun, snow, cities and mountains in equal measure.

My aim for Unit4, across North America, is to assemble the most productive sales organization on the planet. For our customers, it's to predictably & consistently deliver increased operational efficiency, improved employee experience, measurable organizational outcomes and best-in-class mission effectiveness. My career has taken me through many software industry segments & regions and up the ranks from sales rep to Chief Revenue Officer. Before Unit4, I helped young SaaS software companies create and scale sales teams, which was a blast.

Personally, I try to experience everything positive that life has to offer – centered on family & friends, sports, travel – and frequently enjoy good conversation over a meal.

Having spent 25 years in enterprise software, my greatest achievements and most satisfying roles have always involved developing, coaching and supporting people. Watching my teams enjoy their successes, knowing I have helped in some way, is the greatest feeling and motivation for heading out to work every day.

My time outside work is spent with my 3 children. I’m also an Everton Fan, so I do enjoy watching the football if my children will let me!

Having previously served as DACH managing director, I returned to Unit4 in 2021 to continue our growth story, driving value to customers in the region. In my experience working with the biggest enterprise software companies in the world, I have learned the importance of community and partnership. Vendors have a commitment to serving customers through innovation, supporting their digital transformation and optimally supporting employees every day.

In my free time, I enjoy playing golf – best with my 10-year-old son Jonas. Also, I love to spend the weekends in the alps for hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities.
