Unit4 North American Customer Day 2026: From Insight to Action

Conference attendees seated in rows applauding during a professional event, with several participants wearing name badges.

Unit4’s North American Customer Day, held in Montréal on October 28–29, brought customers together around a shared theme: modern organizations can create measurable impact when intelligence is built into everyday work.

The event connected Unit4’s strategic direction with practical ways to simplify work, strengthen decision-making and create greater value across finance, people, projects, reporting and integration.

Setting the Direction for What’s Next

You’re shaping what comes next. Your feedback, your use cases, your challenges are driving our roadmap.

Simon ParisCEO

Simon Paris, Unit4’s CEO, shared Unit4’s clear direction for ERPx and how it is evolving beyond recording what happened, to helping organizations decide what to do next, and ultimately act on their behalf. With more than 10 years of investment in AI, Unit4 is focused on bringing greater automation and insight into everyday workflows while continuing to shape the roadmap around customer feedback, use cases and challenges.

Expert Perspectives: Turning Innovation into Impact

Guest speaker Altaz Valani from InfoTech Research Group joined us to explore how AI is evolving from human-led copilots toward more autonomous, agent-driven ways of working. He emphasized that realizing the value of AI isn’t just about adopting new technology. Organizations also need strong governance and trusted data to innovate responsibly and turn AI into meaningful business value.

James Buhagiar from Docebo shifted the focus to the workforce, sharing how Learn Plus by Docebo connects learning with Unit4 HCM to help organizations build more adaptable teams. By supporting learning across key employee moments, organizations can reduce administration, improve compliance visibility, and make development more relevant to employees while giving managers and HR greater visibility.

Turning Insight into Everyday Value

Throughout Customer Day, sessions moved from big-picture strategy to practical ways organizations can get more value from their technology. From smarter planning and financial reporting to connected systems and low-code innovation, the focus was on using trusted data to simplify work, improve visibility and support better decisions.

Sessions on FP&A and financial reporting explored how connected data can strengthen forecasting, scenario planning and reporting, while Extension Kit and App Studio demonstrated new ways to connect systems, automate processes and connect systems, automate processes and create more seamless ways of working. The conversation also looked at maximizing long-term value, with Success4U connecting business priorities with adoption and continuous improvement, and J2X providing a structured path toward modern SaaS capabilities.

Customers at the Center of Innovation

Customer voice was a central theme throughout the event. In the product keynote, Jen Sherman shared how customer feedback, market trends and emerging technologies help shape Unit4’s product strategy and future capabilities. It was a clear reminder that innovation starts with understanding customers’ priorities and translating those needs into meaningful product experiences.

One of the most exciting additions to this year’s Customer Day was our first-ever Innovation Lab, a hands-on pilot that brought customers and Unit4 product teams together to build, shape and prototype ideas in real time. Customers had a direct role in the innovation process, turning real-world needs and feedback into solutions alongside the teams building them.

On day two, Innovation Lab participants shared what they had created with the wider Customer Day audience. Ideas moved from discussion to tangible prototypes over the course of Customer Day, demonstrating what is possible when customers and product teams collaborate directly and turn feedback into action.

It was a powerful example of moving from insight to action and bringing Unit4’s vision of faster, customer-driven innovation to life.

Connecting the Unit4 Community

Customer Day was also about creating space to connect, share experiences and learn from one another. Those conversations continued beyond the sessions at our networking dinner, where customers, partners and Unit4 teams came together to exchange ideas, build connections and continue conversations sparked throughout the day.

Across two days in Montréal, one message came through clearly: creating meaningful impact takes more than technology alone. It takes trusted data, connected ways of working, continuous innovation and, most importantly, customer collaboration. From exploring what’s possible with AI to building new ideas together in the Innovation Lab, North American Customer Day brought Unit4’s vision from insight to action.
