Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Selects Unit4 and Embridge Consulting to Deliver ERP for the 21st Century

Unit4, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for people-centric organizations, today announced that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council based in Hampshire, UK, has selected Unit4 ERPx and Talent Management solutions to deliver a flexible, next generation finance, HR and Payroll system that can develop with the needs of the council. They are also part of Unit4’s ERPx early adopter program.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council employs 580 people and serves a population of circa 176,000 citizens. The council operates a budget of £170 million and is responsible for providing and commissioning a significant range of services. Through an industry best practice implementation approach, the council will replace legacy finance and HR systems that were no longer fit for purpose, with an integrated, intuitive and agile next-generation cloud ERP platform.

The council will improve operational efficiency and reduce costs by streamlining processes and optimizing projects in the face of mounting budget pressures. ThroughUnit4’s Public Sector implementation model, they can ensure rapid time to value with the generally accepted financial and personnel controls and standards which adhere to UK policy and regulations including GDPR out of the box. By implementing Unit4 ERPx and Talent Management, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council will benefit from:
