Background
Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a humanitarian, nongovernmental organization that protects the rights of people affected by displacement. The nonprofit has about 6,500 staff and incentive workers operating across 32 countries.
Expanding into hard-to-reach geographies had been a real challenge for NRC. Also challenging had been to track funding sources across multiple complex programs and reporting periods. The Council needed to ensure continued compliance with grant restrictions and regulatory requirements, using specialized, transparent internal controls.
