Unit4 Named Sample Vendor in Gartner Hype Cycle For ERP, 2020

Unit4, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for mid-market services organizations, today announced it has been identified as a “Sample Vendor” in the Gartner Hype Cycle For ERP, 2020.

This year’s Hype Cycle shows fast maturation of the emerging technologies and approaches needed to transform ERP platforms. It is compiled for CIOs planning a strategic roadmap, to help them understand trends in technologies and approaches relating to ERP. Unit4 is one of ten vendors recognized in the “Cloud ERP for the Public Sector” category.

The Gartner report states that, “Cloud ERP for the public sector has moved beyond the trough into mainstream adoption as vendors have improved functional scope and addressed previous inhibitors such as data residency and security. Interest is elevating as public-sector entities seek to replace expensive and aging legacy business systems while optimizing precious IT resources through cloud deployment. Public-sector adoption of cloud ERP suites has increased significantly but remains behind the private-sector organizations due to policy constraints and procurement methodology.”

Unit4 has a proven track record in helping public sector organizations around the globe achieve their digital transformation goals to become efficient and effective modern enterprises. Customers include NHS East of England Ambulance Service, Forest Research, Magnox, Hoople, and hundreds of local government organizations including LGSS, Halton Borough Council, City of Stockholm, Wokingham Borough Council, Metro Vancouver and City of Port Coquitlam.

Unit4 recently announced that it has been selected as part of a £30 million contract by Surrey County Council for the replacement of its legacy SAP ERP system. The implementation will enable the Council to achieve its ambitions to transform services, drive efficiencies, improve management decision making and to fully enable a flexible and mobile workforce.

"In order to increase transparency, deliver measurable value and be agile in a time of change, it’s essential that they invest in modern cloud ERP systems."
