Fast-growing Dublin City University turns to Unit4 Prevero to support strategic excellence
Posted by Austin Laird
Ranked among the top 50 young universities globally, Dublin City University (DCU) is a growing University of Enterprise in Ireland with over 17,000 students.
Objectives for excellence
In this video, John Kilcoyne, DCU’s deputy director of finance, explains that the university’s three key aims were to:
- automate statutory financial reporting
- integrate planning processes from short to long-term
- forecast operational performance including tactical activities, legal entities and group-wide initiatives
Unit4 Prevero is the right fit
To achieve these three objectives the university decided to implement Unit4 Prevero corporate performance management and replace the current spreadsheet system.
It was important that Unit4 Prevero could be decentralized and rolled out to budget-holders beyond the finance department. And its configurability and functionality were aligned to the university’s requirements. Also, the capability of Unit4 Prevero offers a robust roadmap for technology advancements, such as artificial intelligence.
In addition to its corporate performance management capabilities, Unit4 also provides student management, SIS, ERP and research management solutions to over 750 colleges and universities globally. This gives institutions, academics and students the tools they need to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced campus environment.
