Unit4 brings Student Management innovation to Europe

Responds to a 10 year innovation gap in the global education market

Unit4 Connect 2016, Amsterdam, Netherlands,

Unit4 Connect 2016, Amsterdam, Netherlands, April 06, 2016 – Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, today announced that its much anticipated Student Management system is now available in Europe.

This is the first system released to the market in over a decade that addresses a pressing need for innovation. It is now generally available in North America and available in Europe through an early adopter program.

Unit4 Student Management is a completely new, ‘built from scratch’ cloud solution combining the latest technology with 30 years’ experience working with hundreds of education institutions globally. As such it offers competitive advantages and greatly increases the ROI of replacing a legacy SIS. The consumer-grade experience it delivers is changing the way education institutions attract, manage and support students throughout their lifecycle.

“We’re already seeing great traction in the North America market as we’re offering a completely new user experience to institutions, but one that is more familiar and really adds value,” said Jami Morshed, VP of the Global Center of Excellence for Education at Unit4. “We’re enabling them to upgrade the student experience with true mobile design, providing institutions with a solution that adapts simply to their business processes enabling agility with no system handcuffs. It also helps relieve the internal staffing challenges many face as they try to maintain dated student information systems. We’ve never seen such interest in a solution prior to release as we have with Unit4 Student Management.”

Early customers cite their ability to improve the faculty, staff and student experience as a key benefit. An intuitive interface built for today’s mobile user applies the same concepts users have come to expect from their consumer technology, while a unique workflow engine automates manual, routine tasks in bulk, empowering staff to spend more time on higher-value activities. With built-in analytics, every administrative user can easily analyze and demonstrate improvement on key institutional metrics.

“Unit4 Education Solutions (formerly Three Rivers Systems) has been our trusted software vendor for 15 years. We have been anxiously awaiting this next-generation student information system,” says Mark Joyner, CIO of Louisburg College. “Given the fact that Student Management can dramatically improve the operations of an institution, we were able to secure a Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant to help pay for the new system. We are looking at this strategic project as a way to strengthen our academic curriculum, improve student support services and upgrade our technology.”

The European early adopter program will focus initially on the UK, Ireland, French, German and Iberian markets, with general availability in the UK, Ireland, and France expected in Q2, and general availability in the German and Iberian markets in the second half of 2016.
