Unit4 releases new Professional Services Automation (PSA) solution

Unit4 Connect 2016, Amsterdam, Netherlands,

Unit4 Connect 2016, Amsterdam, Netherlands, April 06, 2016 – Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, today announced the availability of a new generation Professional Services Automation (PSA) solution. It is designed to support all core processes of professional services organizations, such as enabling project teams to collaborate and share knowledge on projects and opportunities while freeing them from repetitive, low value tasks.

Unit4 PSA is a cloud-first, mobile-first solution with all processes and information such as project assignments, resource management, time and expense management available via the Unit4Me app. It turns disruptive technologies like machine learning and predictive analytics into business benefit by creating self-driving user experiences that liberate people from mundane tasks and assist decisions through big data insights. Project managers can exploit the value of historical project data so they can predict the outcome of projects more quickly and accurately.

This project insight is delivered to professional services firms via a single workspace with 360-degree visibility and control over all project information, helping them achieve revenue and margin targets. Project managers benefit from intuitive dashboards offering full visibility and control over all project and billing information.

New collaboration tools, including Slack.com integration, support customer teams to bring together all communications in one place, replacing the need for project-related in-team email. Teams can organize conversations in open channels related to a specific project, topic, team or customer, increasing productivity and efficiency.

“The info within #PSA not only helps #PSOs grow more effectively, it also provides visibility into the clients and projects that are best fit."

R. David Hofferberth, P.E. Founder, SPI

“By enabling users to compare budget, plans and actuals to ensure projects are profitable, firms can be confident of achieving their revenue and margin targets,” said Erik Tiden, CTO of Unit4. “For professional services organizations, it’s vital their systems support them to optimize margins across projects. While the PSA solution is available as a standalone, customers can benefit from integration with our latest ERP for services. That means project management, resource planning, talent management and revenue management are all delivered as a unified people-centric solution giving users a consistent intelligent experience across all processes.”

Designed from the ground up to support openness and integration, Unit4 PSA works with Unit4’s Business World On! ERP solution and other ERP systems.

“With the economy still showing sluggish growth and competition growing, professional services executives must double-down their efforts to improve service delivery effectiveness,” said R. David Hofferberth, P.E., Founder and Managing Director of Service Performance Insight. “The information contained within PSA not only helps PSOs (Professional Services Organizations) grow more efficiently and effectively, it also provides visibility into the types of clients and projects that are a best fit. Based on nine years of benchmarking more than 2,000 professional services organizations, we know that PSA integration with ERP is critical. Organizations that do simply operate better, in large part due to enhanced visibility to all aspects of the business.”

Unit4 PSA will be generally available Q3 2016.
