How the Act4Good Anniversary Experience has become one of Unit4’s most successful people engagement initiative

At Unit4 our aim is to create an extraordinary experience for our people – one of the most effective ways to boost engagement is to create opportunities for our people to make a difference and empower them to work with a larger purpose outside of their world of work. 

In 2022 we launched our brand-new program, the Act4Good Anniversary Experience with our partner Emerging World – a chance for our people reaching important anniversary milestones in the company to join a once in-a lifetime week of in-person field volunteering with colleagues, doing meaningful work and supporting a cause they care about. Throughout the year a total of 60 of our people took part in 6 volunteering projects (each for a different cause) across 4 different locations in Europe.

They engaged in hands-on volunteering working directly with local beneficiaries and non-profits, enjoyed social times with other colleagues and cultural immersion experiences. From environmental conservation in the Andorra mountains to refugee support in Lisbon, they all came back grateful for having made a genuine and positive impact for our planet and its people, and for the lifelong connections they have built – participants gave the experience an impressive 100 NPS score for one of our projects!
